Let’s call Jesus a fairy tale, while writing a letter to Santa Claus. Ok.

Let’s call Jesus a fairy tale, while writing a letter to Santa Claus. Ok. Some atheists wanna celebrate Christmas, but want us to join them in celebrating Christmas without Jesus. I’m thinking they’re missing the point somewhere. Hear more in this ZoNation. Part 4 of 4

The Christmas tree when I was growing up was the place to put the manger. Right underneath and in the front. I can remember lying on the floor looking at all the pieces. Flash forward MANY years, my tree still is the place to put the manger. BTW, love the hat. Merry Christmas!

    • Usi Nfidel

Wow, I had completely forgotten about that. My parents did that, too. In the morning- after Santa’s delivery- the manger was still front and center as the focus of why we celebrated Christmas. Thanks for the memory!!!

    • Sunshine Kid

The manger was the very first King sized bed.

  • ssoldie

I enjoy Alfonzo Rachel so much .God bless him and all his.

  • Jo

    Amen, Alfonzo!

  • CrystalDawn0603

Well put. Excellent defense of keeping Christ in Christmas and why we do that.

Also, is that Snoopy on your Santa hat? Love it!

  • Sullys Pops

When people tell me “happy holiday’s” I pause and make it a point to reply “Merry CHRIST-mas!” Emphasis on CHRIST. I have always made sure that my children know what Christmas really is. It is about the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. I pull no punches and make no excuses for the truth.

    Thank you Brother Zo!

  • Bryan Lyman

Atheists be all like, “Your religion places too many rules and restrictions on people, and that is bad.” Then they be like, “I am going to force rules and restrictions on you to show you how dumb you are being and to ruin traditions that bring joy to millions of people because I am a sad pathetic and lonely person and I have nothing better to do right now.”

  • Ron Smorynski

Awesome clarity. Oh and there’s the story of a Priest who cut down a Germanic pagan tree god which they all practiced this lighting of trees thing, they all converted and he said, just keep the tree, remember it for Christ… something like that…

  • Steve Lang

Thank you Zo, you are a very bright young man.

  • Sunshine Kid

For those who don’t believe in Christ, let them not celebrate Christmas. Perhaps it would be good to put atheists to work in the Post Offices – mail delivery on Sundays, Christmas and Easter, and because it is not a holiday or day off for them, no overtime pay.

  • bondroid

MOST EXCELLENT…. and Merry CHRISTmas ZO!!

  • Karenc2002

I guess if you believe in fairy tales and the “sky fairy”, then you have to push your BS on everyone else. As far as Sunshine Kid’s remarks about putting atheist to work on holidays and sunday, maybe you should work those days too. BTW, most people that talk to imaginary beings need to medicated for their schizophrenic disorder. Just my humble opinion.

    • HRLO

      Who is pushing BS….You?

    • Robert Davis

Karen, you sound pretty ignorant. Christians work holidays too. Perhaps you might get your head out your arse and maybe pick up a book. Whatever tree or rock you worship will not give you the satisfaction that having real knowledge of our Creator would give.

    • Karenc2002

I’m not ignorant. I just don’t believe in the BS that you all are peddling. You all have been sucking at the tit of religion for so long that none of you would dare think that maybe you had been lied to during your indoctrination classes that your church calls “sunday school.” Maybe if you questioned some of these made up stories, you might get your head out of your ass and be able to see daylight again. It took me 50 to lose that indoctrination and I am not going back into it ever again. I have better things to do than listen to some idiot that went to a seminary school stand up there and preach to me about how wonderful the “sky fairy” is. I would rather sit back with a cold beer and a ball game than have to endure that crap again.

    • Usi Nfidel

We’re not peddling, YOU came to this website, remember?

    • Sullys Pops

Karen, what Sunshine is saying is that the Sundays off, CHRIST-mas off as a holiday. Good Friday and Resurrection Day (easter to you) are all thanks to CHRIST. If you are going to denounce God Almighty, then you should also give up the celebrations, holidays, and days of relaxation that are so declared due to a belief in God On High. The majority of no believers celebrate CHRIST things but deny. Sunshine is just pointing out the hypocrisy that you take liberty with.

    • Karenc2002

It’s no hypocrisy. I just don’t believe in fairy tales. That is all the bible is and you do realize that your chirst wasn’t born in December like all of you like to say he was. Just because all of you have been indoctrinated into the christian way of thinking, doesn’t mean that we have to believe it, too. The day that s.o.b. comes down here and stands in front of me and says the he is gawd, then, and only then, will I believe in your “sky fairy.”

    • Zo

I haven’t pushed anything on you. I see you pushing your way onto my page though. If you don’t believe in God, that’s your problem. Don’t come here trying to make it mine. Keep your hateful behind off my page. Why don’t you go find somebody to love in the name of nothing, instead of wasting your time being hateful here?

    • Karenc2002

Sorry; but there is a thing called the 1st Amendment that gives me the right to express my views just the same as it gives you the right to push your religion on everyone else. Seems to me that it is you Christo-fascist that keep trying to make the US a theocracy. I keep hearing you all talk about how this country was founded on christian values. Do me a favor and take your ZoNation and stick it up your ass. I’m done here dealing with all of you schizophrenic morons who believe is a “sky fairy” or a “flying spaghetti monster.” I hope you finally get put on medication so that you can rejoin reality.

    • Usi Nfidel

Just because you have the right to do something doesn’t mean you should do it. Why are you so angry?

    • Scott M. Kruchell

IT IS INCREDIBLE HOW PEOPLE LIKE YOU ABUSE THE FIRST AMENDMENT. At the same time you and people like would gladly take our FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS away.

Why is it that the very people that scream for “tolerance” are the LEAST TOLERATE? The other thing I have noticed is that they are also usually the ones crying about their rights, too. That seems to me the real hypocrisy.
THANK GOD that HE is a GOD of LOVE and understanding, even if you think HE is only a “sky fairy”. You are going to have to explain yourself, when the time comes, regardless of your thoughts/ beliefs. Just like the rest of us.

    • Zo

The 1st right of the 1st amendment that you’re trying to throw in our face is free religious exercise. It’s listed before freedom of speech even. But even with that, I’m still not pushing anything on you. You’re the one coming here pushing your views, and if you knew anything about the Bible, it teaches against theocratic government. Christians don’t want a theocracy, so you really don’t know what you’re talking about and you are seriously stupid with hate. And you don’t deserve any favors so don’t ask. Perhaps you shouldn’t be so concerned with what people stick in their butts, and deal with your head already stuck in yours.

    • bob

Actually, this being Zo’s page, you only have the rights here that Zo grants. go make your own page. oh sorry, obama hasn’t made that a freebie yet , has he?

    • Terry Holcomb

Karen, you should think, read, educate yourself, keep someones statements in the context as they were written. This way you don’t make yourself vulnerable, with your beliefs, you should find a way to come back at someone with intelligence, proof of your statements, not easy to use profanity, or street slang.

    • Sullys Pops

Karen C, I am reading your posts. The hate, the anger, the trolling. You came to Brother Zo’s page and tried to push your beliefs knowing this to be a Christian forum. Regardless of your past and everything that has happened to you or you have done, you are still a child of God. God forgives all his children that ask. Grace and Mercy through love are given to all. I ask you to repent and call upon The Lord for forgiveness. When you walk with The Lord, you never walk alone. All that hate and anger, gone with Satan and his ilk. Through His love and grace, forgiveness is given.

    • magi52

WOW… I guess you do not believe in being allowed to make choices and freedom of thought do you? #1A just applies to you?

I am just very thankful, that the majority of the American People are nothing like you and your like-minded friends.

Have you ever heard of being respectful of others? How about tolerant?
Our country was founded on rights of individual liberty & freedom for all citizens.

Besides the world would be a very very dull place if everyone thought like you and acted like you.

      Have a nice “BLISSFUL” life.

  • AlwaysRight

Thanks Zo for reminding us for the “reason for the season”. I feel sorry for Karenc2002. She must be very unhappy and alone.

  • Scott M. Kruchell

Thank you Zo, Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  • MSCsocal

Zo, once again I feel very blessed by your words. may our Lord continually bless you and your family. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!

  • magi52

    Zo, another HOME RUN!

  • CarolinaSistah

Zo, you always give words that beg the mind and heart to think! Merry Christmas brother!

    • Zo

      Thank you! Merry Christmas!

    • CarolinaSistah

Merry and blessed Christmas to you too my brother!

  • Ken Miller

Hey, Zo, just now checking out your first video in this series (moving cross country will put a dent in your free time). I see you reference the ten commandments as how we show love for our neighbours. Dennis Prager has a very good overview of the ten commandments. If you haven’t seen it, I really recommend it.

A lot of it I knew, like the difference between “thou shalt not kill” and “thou shalt not commit murder.” On the other hand, he did clear up that pesky “thou shalt not take the Lord’s name in vain” as far as exactly what that actually means – and it’s something that fits VERY well with your own messaging (spoiler alert – it’s more about what Fred Phelps does and less about an occasional swear word).

This could make for an interesting set of topics from you. Would be even more interesting to have a discussion between you and Dennis on it – you covering the Christian side, and him covering the Jewish side.

  • Sullys Pops

Amen Brother Zo! Nothing like the TRUTH about The Word to get you going in the day. Merry CHRIST-mas to You and Yours. Thank you!

  • Retro

As an atheist I have no interest in having people celebrate anything outside of what they wish to celebrate. I celebrate Christmas as a family and friends holiday. I do expose my kids to Christian beliefs as well as Jewish and a bit of Hindu. Not because I believe but because I want them to be educated and decide for themselves when they are ready, as I did.

As an atheist I follow a very live and let live life. While I do not believe in a god, if someone else does and it gives them some level of comfort or purpose or whatever they get from it, then I’m happy for them. All I ever ask is, don’t put me down for my lack of any “faith” as I will not put you down for yours.
