ZoNation : Baltimore Riots. Black Power or Weakness?

A picture is worth a thousand words, but when I saw a picture of a Baltimore looter with a shirt with “Black Power” printed on it, one word stood out. “Weakness”. Hear more in this ZoNation!

  • Outstanding contrast of power and weakness! You rock Zo!

If only the type of people that are doing this would listen to you. It’s nice to see a black person speak up against the thuggery that’s going on. Thanks, Zo, good one.

  • Scott M. Kruchell

Here I thought I was the only one that thought that phrase was being used WRONG. 😉

    • Sullys Pops

Nope, you are not alone my good sir. Some of us have found that “pride”, “power” thing questionable to say the least.

  • Edward Salatino

Zo, keep up the great work. I look forward to every video!

  • George Bernard Vieto

    Thanks for the advice Alonzo.

  • Sunshine Kid

I always considered those who said/indicated “Black power” (and this goes back at least to the 1970s, in my case) were actually pushing for a race war. Even then, there was a feeling of “I ain’t tolerating you, man!”

    Zo Nation!

Alfonzo, man I love your videos, but I kinda got a little, I don’t want to say angry, so I’ll drop that off here. I do not see that having pride in one’s ethnicity is a bad thing. I believe all people should be proud of who they are, it’s when they start yelling “____”-Power that it becomes a problem. When someone puts themselves above others then it becomes a the bad thing. At least that is my opinion (And we all know what they say about opinions). Other than that, I agree with just about everything you’ve said, of course I am only basing that on the few videos I have watched. One last thing.your band is fantastic.

    • Mike Stevens

While I agree with you in principle… nevertheless, White Power is clearly seen as being racist… ?? and seen only as hate..while Black Power is looked upon as a fashion statement.
