Fathers, Where Are You? By Jay McCaney

It’s very telling to see the crowds protesting the election. It shows that churches have failed, and ultimately men have failed at being the role models that God has called us to be.

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

We haven’t trained children to be respectful, because we’re not respectful. We’re not teaching our children the love of Christ, because we’re not being loving ourselves. When we can go on and on about our different likes, like football, basketball, the latest smartphone, etc., but yet, we can’t spend a day with our kids to teach them what REALLY matters, it truly shows what we value in life. It not only show others, but it shows our kids that we don’t value them. This is why we have so many kids killing kids all over America.

If we don’t get back to loving Christ as we love ourselves, then we will be worse off 4 years from now instead of better. If we don’t call out sin as God called us to do, then we will be crying out to God to spare us from His judgment. If we don’t repent and turn from our wicked ways, then God will not heal our land.

It’s time for us to be about our Father’s business.
