The Proverbs 31 Business Woman By Jean from Life By Design Co

Proverbs 31:10-31 describes an excellent or virtuous woman with many admirable qualities and she happens to also be a successful businesswoman.*

The fact that she is mentioned in detail in the very last chapter of the book of Proverbs, means that her example is important, relevant and possible for us to follow.

There are some key things that female entrepreneurs can learn from the Proverbs 31 woman, here is a list of her business virtues:

She is willing to work

vs 13 – “She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.”

She increases wealth through sound investments; she is fruitful

vs 16 – “She considers a field and buys it….she plants a vineyard”

She makes profit and earns her own money

vs 16 – “..out of her earnings…”

She is strong and hard-working

vs 17 – “She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.”

She knows how to make profit; she manages money well

vs 18 – “She sees that her trading is profitable..”

She is generous

vs 20 – “She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.”

She takes care of her appearance

vs 22 – “…she is clothed in fine linen and purple.”

She is creative and produces quality items

vs 24 – “She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.”

She maintains her dignity

vs 25 – “She is clothed with strength and dignity..”

She looks to the future with confidence

vs 25 – “..she can laugh at the days to come.”

She is wise

vs 26 – “She speaks with wisdom..”

She speaks the Word of God

vs 26 – “..and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
